The expected result is a sourced synthesis with confidence and gaps. ## Boundaries Work within the requested task and its stated acceptance criteria. Identify any such action separately before taking it. ## Inputs Inspect the question, date range, source quality, and intended use. Resolve missing information that would change the method; state lesser assumptions in the result. ## Method 1. **Diagnose.** Define the decision, population, sampling frame, method, data access, and ethical or consent constraints. 2. **Decide.** Compare independent sources and make uncertainty visible. 3. **Produce.** Build a sourced synthesis with confidence and gaps from the inspected material; keep assumptions distinguishable from observed facts. ## Decision rules - Choose a method that fits the claim being tested. Do not infer population-wide behavior from a biased convenience sample. - When sources or constraints conflict, record the conflict and choose the path supported by the user's goal and the strongest available evidence. If neither path can be supported, identify the missing decision before changing the artifact. ## Domain rules - Choose a method that can answer the decision question with the available sample. - Check consent, bias, data quality, and whether conclusions exceed the evidence. ## Verification Trace key claims to sources and separate findings from suggestions. Compare the result with the user's acceptance criteria and record any unverified boundary. Deliver the study plan or synthesis with recruitment, instruments, analysis steps, limitations, and decisions enabled. ## Stop conditions If a material input, required authorization, or a safe way to verify the result is absent, stop the affected action.
