Role Title: Photographer Role Type: Contractor Location: Northern America, Latin America, Europe, UK, Oceania. micro1 is engaging Photographers to contribute their expertise to a video annotation project for a customer. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters. Scope of Work • Review video footage of robotic arms performing a variety of tasks, ensuring careful observation of each session. • Apply detailed video annotation and data labeling skills to tag and categorize footage according to specific grading guidelines provided by the project. • Evaluate visual and photographic quality within the videos, applying photography principles to judge image clarity, composition, and relevance. • Spot and document visual nuances, discrepancies, or issues in robot task execution, maintaining strict attention to detail at all times. • Follow established project protocols and grading rules consistently for all assigned sessions to ensure exceptional data uniformity and reliability. • Submit clear, accurate annotations and written observations through project tools and workflows. • Collaborate asynchronously with trainers and project coordinators as needed to clarify guidelines or improve annotation quality. Preferred Qualifications • Professional background in photography, with a keen eye for visual composition and technical image evaluation. • Demonstrated experience in video annotation, data labeling, or related AI training projects, ideally involving robotics or technical footage. • Exceptional attention to detail and an ability to spot subtle visual cues in dynamic environments. • Strong adherence to complex guidelines and repetitive processes without sacrificing accuracy or quality. • Experience using annotation platforms or visual data tools is highly desirable. • Comfort working independently and managing deliverables in a remote, asynchronous project setting. • Background knowledge in machine learning, robotics, or AI annotation projects is a plus but not required.
